Compass Program at Fairleigh Dickinson University Hackensack, NJ

Leaving home to start college is daunting for most young adults. For the young adult with autism spectrum disorder, the task may pose so many challenges that a successful experience seems especially difficult to obtain. Fairleigh Dickinson University’s COMPASS program at the Metropolitan Campus is designed to provide critical support during the first two years of college so that young adults with ASD can discover new competencies, hone trusted coping skills and explore new opportunities for success. The college graduation that may have at one time seemed out of reach can now become a realistic goal.
