Davidson College is a small, highly selective, private, liberal arts college located 20 minutes north of Charlotte in Davidson, NC on a beautiful 450-acre campus. Home to 1,890 students, Davidson offers majors in over 20 fields, as well as minors and self-designed interdisciplinary majors. Known for its small classes (none over 50 and most under 30), Davidson is known for its close-knit academic community, strict honor code, and the Davidson Trust, which eliminated all loans to students and replaced them with grants for demonstrated need. Davidson participates in D1 sports and offers the Dean Rusk International Studies Program, through which more than 70% of all students study abroad. Almost all students live on campus for 4 years.
