Golden West is a public 2-year community college. It is a commuter campus in a small city. It offers certificate programs as well as degree programs. Special facilities are an outdoor amphitheater and a California native garden. Majors offered are biology, business, communications, computer sciences, education, English, foreign languages, health services, history, liberal arts, math, philosophy/religion, physical sciences, protective services, psychology, social sciences, and visual/performing arts. Intercollegiate sports offered are baseball, cross-country, football, soccer, softball, swimming, track and field, volleyball, and water polo.
