Northen Illinois University, located in DeKalb Illinois is home to just over 16,000 undergraduates and 1,900 graduate students. Over 75 majors are offered the most popular being business, science, and communications. Ninety-five percent of students are from Illinois and 84% come from public high schools. The campus offers an observatory, Burma art collection, and anthropology museum. Students participate in 12 intercollegiate and 15 intramural sports.
