Pacific Lutheran University, located in Tacoma, Washington, is a private four-year university affiliated with the Lutheran Church. Just over 3,000 undergraduates and 300 graduate students choose from over 40 majors. The most popular majors are social sciences, business, and the health sciences. The campus features an herbarium, vertebrate and invertebrate museums, field station and a boat equipped for students of Puget Sound, and a Scandinavian cultural center. Students choose from 13 intercollegiate and 15 intramural sports.
