The Pratt Institute is a mid-sized school located in Brooklyn, NY which specializes in architecture, liberal arts and sciences, art and design, and information and library sciences. Pratt serves 3,000 undergraduates and 1,700 graduate students in an environment designed to develop the practical skills needed to express the student’s creative vision. Students receive instruction by professionals working in their field of study and make extensive use of the New York City environment as an extension of their campus. Students have a wide variety of organizations and clubs to choose from, as well as NCAA DIII athletics, club sports, intramurals and personal fitness. There are also many student media groups on campus.
