Rutgers University is a large, public, research university in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Approximately 43,000 undergraduate and 14,800 graduate students attend Rutgers, with 31,268 undergraduates attending the New Brunswick campus. Twenty-six schools and colleges offer more than 100 undergraduate majors and over 180 graduate programs. Rutgers offers traditional liberal arts majors and builds on core foundations in addition to specialized programs and courses of study.
