Smith College is the largest women’s college in the US, serving 2,500 undergraduate students in an independent, nondenominational setting. Set in Northhampton, MA, students have the opportunity to participate in more than 50 areas of study. More than 1/2 of the junior class studies abroad each year. Smith offers a variety of student organizations and athletics at every level, and is part of a Five College Cooperative. Students live in self-governed houses ranging in size. More than 100 student organizations and clubs cater to students interests. While Smith does admit men to their graduate school, undergraduate studies are directed at bright woman from every state and 70 countries in order to challenge them intellectually and forge connections.
