The University of Connecticut located in Storrs is a public institution educating over 17,000 undergraduates and 7,300 graduate students. Ninety-six percent of students live on campus and choose from over 60 majors, the most popular being social sciences, business, the health sciences and biology. Sixteen NCAA intercollegiate sports are offered as well as thirty intramural sports. Specialized programs include a five-year Eurotech Program combining engineering and the German language. A six-month German internship is required. Over 400 clubs and organizations are available. The campus boasts a puppetry museum, a sports museum, and horse barn tours.
