The University of Wisconsin at Whitewater is a public university educating just over 10,000 undergraduates. Over fifty majors are offered the most popular being business, communications, education and public administration. Located forty miles from Madison and fifty miles from Milwaukee, students who live in Minnesota receive reciprocal tuition. Fifteen NCAA intercollegiate sports are offered as well as eleven intramural sports. The campus is known for its observatory, nature preserve and weather station.
